SPECIAL AWARDS
The Burnside Symphony Orchestra Prize: A Certificate and $150 will be awarded to a participant in the String Division.
Mitcham Orchestra : $150 will be awarded to a promising young musician.
The Norwood Symphony Orchestra Prize: A Medallion and $150 will be awarded to an instrumental concerto contestant or a vocal contestant finalist who may be invited to perform with the Norwood Symphony Orchestra at a later date.
The Unley Symphony Orchestra Prize: A Medallion and $250 will be awarded to an instrumental concerto contestant.
The Music Teachers Association of SA Inc. /Grace Barbara Turner Awards for Excellence in Performance: Four awards of $100 will be made to competitors, one from each of the following Divisions: Keyboard, Strings, Wind and Vocal. Competitors must have performed as a soloist.
The Audrey Lees Award for Excellence in Piano Performance.
The Lady Anne Miller Award: Piano Division: A medallion may be awarded to the competitor with the highest aggregate in the Piano Division.
The Wilf Mader Memorial Medallion: Awarded to the most promising pianist 17 years or over.
The Miriam Hyde Medallion: Awarded to the most promising pianist 16 years or under.
Dulcie Holland Medallion: Awarded to the most promising pianist 12 years or under.
The Gabor Reeves Woodwind Medallion: To a woodwind player for excellence in performance.
The Standish Roberts Brass Medallion: To a brass player for excellence in performance.
The David Cubbin Flute Medallion: A medallion will be awarded by the Flute Society of SA to the most promising flautist in the Open Flute Section.
The Ray Rosser Memorial Award: An award of $100 will be presented to the most promising flautist from the 10 years or under or 12 years or under Sections.
The Cecily Wood Recorder Medallion: For the most promising Recorder player 16 years or under.
The Lady Anne Miller Award: Vocal Division: A medallion may be awarded to the competitor with the highest aggregate in the Vocal Division.
The Malcolm J. Orchard Memorial Medallion for performance of an Operatic Aria.
The Australian Strings Association Award: A plaque will be awarded to the most outstanding competitor for Violin, Viola, Cello or Double Bass 18 years or under.
The Jane Peters Violin Medallion: Awarded to the most promising violinist 16 years or under. Competitors must have performed as a soloist.
The David Bishop Cello Medallion: Awarded for the most promising cellist 16 years and under. Competitors must have performed as a soloist.
The Adele Anthony Violin Medallion: Awarded to the most outstanding violinist 13 years or under. Competitors must have performed as a soloist.
The Helen Pietsch Excellence Award: A Prize of $100 for outstanding achievement in performance – in memory of the commitment of the late Helen Pietsch to choral music.
The Helen Pietsch Encouragement Award: A Prize of $100 for a non-prize winning choir showing great promise – in memory of the commitment of the late Helen Pietsch to choral music.
The Strathalbyn Eisteddfod Choral Prize: A prize of $300 will be awarded to the most outstanding choir from outer-metropolitan and country areas.
